The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) delivered on behalf of the FTF Nigeria Agricultural Policy project a training on “Introduction Survey Data Analysis using STATA” for academics and researchers on 21-25 January 2019 in Minna, Niger State. The 25 participants (20 male, five female) were all lecturers and researchers from the Federal University of Technology Minna, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University and Niger State College of Education Minna.
“I count myself privileged to have attended the STATA training” said Olaotan Adeniran, who was one of the participants at the training. “I have been able to learn the basic commands and its application to my research. This has really equipped me with skills to present my research output in a better way. Thanks to the organizers and the facilitators who have done a great job” Adeniran further stated.
The training was part of the capacity building activities of the Feed the Future Nigeria Agricultural Policy Project designed to further develop the expertise of Nigeria’s analysts and researchers to provide and disseminate evidence required for sound decision making on agricultural policy issues. The Feed the Future Nigeria Agricultural Policy Project is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID/Nigeria) and is jointly implemented by Michigan State University and the Nigeria Strategy Support Program of IFPRI (IFPRI-NSSP).
