On 19 and 20 March 2018, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) facilitated a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) training course in Abuja for members of staff from various departments of the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN).
The training course was attended by 28 participants (17 males and 11 females) who were taught the principles of M&E, and the development and implementation of M&E plans and frameworks among others. The participants were very grateful for this first of its kind intensive M&E training course delivered for the institution.
This training course was organized by the Feed the Future Nigeria Agricultural Policy Project, which is jointly implemented by IFPRI and Michigan State University (MSU) with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
