On July 24-26 , a team of three (3) Project trainers facilitated a training course on “Econometrics for Policy Analysis using Stata” at Ebonyi State University which was attended by a total of 32 (16 males and 16 females) participants including faculty and the graduate student body. The training was designed to teach participants how to manage, analyze, and report findings from various types of economic data. Participants gained insights on how to handle data for evidence-based decision making using the software. The training course was well received and appreciated with participants expressing satisfaction for both course content and new knowledge gained.
This training course was part of the activities in connection with the Feed the Future Nigeria Agricultural Policy Project, a joint effort between the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI)’s Nigeria Strategy Support Program and Michigan State University (MSU) funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID-Nigeria), and is in line with Component 1 of FY 2017 work plan on activities to enhance skills, training, and institutional capacity.
