Two curricula that help strengthen the entrepreneurial skills of Nigerian farmers and processors have been developed by PrOpCom and USAID/MARKETS. The GTZ Employment-oriented Private Sector Development (EoPSD) Project, Partners for Development, and the Federal Government of Nigeria’s Fadama II project have been key partners in the roll-out and trainer certification process. The curriculum aims to:
- enhance the understanding and awareness of basic business concepts;
- introduce the concept of value chains development and the role of key players;
- provide practical methods and techniques for planning, income projection, risk management, debt management, savings, and profit maximization; and
- strengthen participants’ financial management skills.
